The Brown family of Alaskan Bush People may finally be leaving their home for good.

Ami, the family matriarch, was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, causing her to leave the bush to get treatment in California. The rest of the family temporarily left Browntown to be with her, but their decision might become permanent very soon.

In the latest clip from the show, which you can watch above, the Brown family debates moving closer to civilization in order to help properly care for Ami.

The family sits around the bed and contemplates their next move, knowing that staying near the hospital in L.A. just wasn’t an option.

Billy comes up with the idea to make a new Browntown in the state of Colorado. The leader of the family has his eye on a 40 acre parcel of land in the Southwest part of the state, far away from any hustle or bustle.

“The possibility is here to have everything we want with plenty of room,” Billy said. “Multiple houses, just an hour from the hospital.”

To try and make the move even more appealing to his family, Billy tells a story from his history with Ami.

“This place is just over the mountains from where your mom and I completely fell in love with the forest and decided ‘This is what we wanna do.’”

The Browns will be taking a road trip to check out the location first, but it sounds like their minds are made up.
