There’s good news and there’s bad news for any Nashville fans out there.

First, the good news. CMT has finally set a premier date for the reboot of the canceled ABC drama. The beloved show will return to TV screens January 5, 2017, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The bad news is one of the main characters may be eyeing an exit. Connie Britton, who plays Rayna James, has only signed on for 10 episodes of the 22 that the studio ordered.

Production of the new season won’t begin until next month, so there is still time for Britton to sign on for more. If the rumors are true, at least Hayden Panettiere is fully on board.

Either way, season five will premier on CMT and be available on Hulu, so fans can see how new showrunners Marshall Herskovitz and Ed Zwick deal with that cliff hanger.
