“All About That Bass” singer Meghan Trainor, a self-proclaimed huge fan of the Backstreet Boys, got to live out every ’90s girl’s dream as she sang the hit song “I Want It That Way” on stage with the boyband themselves. The 22-year-old singer got to join BSB to sing the classic tune on Thursday night as part of an episode of ABC show called Greatest Hits.
Trainor rocked a white blazer to match the band, and even joined in with the boys for the signature choreographed dance moves. Throughout the course of the song, Trainor had all five members of the Backstreet Boys – Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough – singing directly to her. The crowd all sang along as the song transported the audience back to 1999, when the Backstreet Boys album titled “Millenium” was released including several hit songs such as: “Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely,” “Larger than Life,” and “I Want It That Way.”

The performances on the July 7 episode of Greatest Hits featured chart-topping songs from the years 1995 to 2000. The event even included a performance by the trio of musically-gifted brothers, Hanson. The group performed their 1997 hit song “MMMBop,” in a surprisingly emotional acoustic rendition, which is still as catchy as it was 20 years ago. Take a trip back down memory lane and check out Hanson’s acoustic performance.
