For the past few month, Donald Trump has been just about the only person anyone has seen on the news. While most people are aware that the billionaire real estate tycoon is now the President-elect of the United States, many may have forgotten that he has been trying for years and years to own an NFL team.
Once upon a time the former Apprentice star owned a USFL team called the New Jersey Generals. Trump desperately tried to get the USFL to move their game season to the fall to compete with the NFL in order to force a merger. His attempt failed and the league was eventually killed off.
