Colin Kapernick took a knee; the Castlemont High School football team lied down on their back with their hands in the air.
The 49ers quarterback has continued to make his rounds of silent protest of social injustice by kneeling during the national anthem, and while visiting the Castlement High School football team in Oakland, California, Friday he inspired the young players to take it one step further.

Kaepernick has continually made headlines for his protests, and while many support his efforts, there are those who vehemently oppose them. But despite the controversy, the 49ers quarterback has no intention of stopping any time soon.
“This is not something that I am going to run by anybody,” Kaepernick said. “I am not looking for approval. I have to stand up for people that are oppressed. … If they take football away, my endorsements from me, I know that I stood up for what is right.”
Is Kapernick taking this too far, or is he inspiring millions to stand up against social inequality and injustice?
