The world's biggest streaming service has officially decided to stand firmly against one men's fashion trend: Cargo shorts.

In a horror movie trailer spoof, Netflix pieced together clips of various characters wearing cargo shorts and then other characters reacting in what they feel like is the appropriate manner.

The video starts out with the message: "There's a terror lurking in your closet..." Then several brief clips from characters wearing cargo shorts or pants flash across the screen. Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, and David Spade are all wearing a pair of cargos in one shot from a scene in Grown Ups. Comedic actor Kevin James seems to be one of the most notorious offenders of the fashion crime as a good portion of the video is dedicated to scenes of him.

"Cargo Shorts. Do your part and throw yours in the trash today," Netflix captions over a clip of Ethan Hawke making a terrified reaction.

The video ends with a scene from New Girl where Max Greenfield's character Schmidt is delivering a sermon about the hideous apparel. Schmidt states, "Hey, guys, how are we going to transport all this cargo? Oh wait, we've got Nick's pants. We're saved. Get the frickin' pants off!"

At this point, Netflix's short video has received more dislikes than likes, so it's fair to say that the bros rocking the cargos watching this video aren't too happy with the streaming service bashing the functional apparel.

What are your thoughts on cargo shorts/pants? Do they need to be removed from your closet immediately or do you still plan on rocking them like a champ no matter what Netflix says?
