Handsome Oscar Winner Eddie Redmayne Welcomes First Child

Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne is a father!

Redmayne welcomed a baby girl with his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, Wednesday. The couple first announced the birth of Iris May Redmayne in the U.K. newspaper The Times, E! News reports.

The new parents first confirmed their pregnancy at the Golden Globes in January. "That is true!," Redmayne revealed to Ryan Seacrest. Seacrest gifted them cheeky onesies — one read "You Should See My Crib," while another joked, "Milking My 15 Minutes."

"Thank you so much, Ryan!," Redmayne said, while Bagshawe laughed and further called the gifts "amazing!"

The then-expectant parents also opened up about their impending bundle of joy with E! News' Giuliana Rancic at the SAG Awards. "It's quite a few months away, but we started looking at all the logistics," Redmayne shared. "The list of things you're meant to get before going to the hospital, and it's a long list of stuff right there!

"We have this sort of dream of like wooden toys, and all that, and everyone's like, 'Yeah you always start off like that, but you end up with like iPhones!,'" he continued.

Redmayne and Bagshawe wed in a private ceremony in England on Dec. 15, 2014. They began dating in January 2012 and got engaged in June 2014.
