A Maryland couple announced the impending arrival of their first child with a photoshoot highlighting their other passion: running track.
Kristina and Sam Sesay both ran track in high school and Sam is a former NCAA Division 1 All-American track and field athlete. The two teamed up with photographer Adedayo Kosoko for a photoshoot at H.D. Woodson Senior High School to share the news.

The Sesays told ABC News the photos have been very popular among family and friends. Kristina said her mother even thought they had been photoshopped.
For her husband of three years, the shoot had an even deeper meaning.
"Track has taught me so much and really prepared me for life," Sam said. "The pictures meant so much more than just pictures because all of the life lessons I learned through track, I'm now going to impart them to our child. Everything came full circle."
Some of the lessons Sam has learned from track include staying in your own lane and always look forward.
"You can't look to your left and your right. You have to run your race and not worry about your competitors. Track taught me not to look back and focus on what's ahead of you because the second you look back you'll get sidetracked."

The baby is due June 18.
