Erik and Rebecca Herrera, a couple from Gainesville, Florida, have been trying to get pregnant for over five years and so when they found out they were finally expecting after their recent round of IVF treatment, they wanted their announcement to be memorable.
"My wife sort of felt a little robbed that she couldn't have a normal, surprise pregnancy announcement," Erick told TODAY Parents. "She thought everyone knew — that they were either in the support network or were praying for us — so I wanted to do something so special that she would nearly forget all of the past five years."
And memorable it is!
Erick scripted a short movie set u like a movie trailer called "Pregnancy: Official Trailer," that was done to mimic the style of the popular Honest Trailers. When he shot the video, he even managed to secure the voice-over actor, Job Bailey, who does all the work for the real Honest Trailers.
The trailer follows the Herreras' journey from being a content and happy married couple who gets to eat at restaurants, going shopping and sleep in whenever they wanted—to being expectant parents and dealing with morning sickness, become a petting zoo and unsolicited advice and comments.
The video is adorable and we think it's not only honest, but totally memorable like they'd hoped!
