Variety reports that the two Oscar-winning filmmakers are re-teaming off-screen for a one-hour, gritty drama based on an idea by Affleck and Damon that focuses on Boston during the early ’90s.

Titled, City on a Hill, the show finds the city at a time when it was rife with violent criminals and emboldened by local law enforcement agencies where corruption and racism was the norm. But then it all changed.

While the network has announced no cast members, the series is a fictional account of what was known as the “Boston Miracle.”

Developed by Pearl Street with IMG, the pilot will be directed by Gavin O’Connor of The Accountant. He will also serve as an executive producer alongside Affleck and Damon with James Mangold (“Logan”) and Jennifer Todd (“Memento”).

While will be seen next in Justice League, Affleck is taking a break from film at the moment. He has dropped out of the Netflix original film Triple Frontier. The movie will reportedly move forward without him.

Meanwhile, Damon can be seen this fall in Suburbicon, directed by George Clooney, with an original script penned by Joel and Ethan Coen. The film stars Damon as Gardner Lodge, a man whose quiet, suburban life is turned upside down when he gets involved with the mob.
