It’s time to face the music!
Edgar Wright — the talented filmmaker behind Shaun of the Dead (2004), Hot Fuzz (2007), The World’s End (2013), and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) — first began developing an Ant-Man movie all the way back in 2003, but in May 2014, with most of the cast set and production about to begin, Wright walked away from the project due to “creative differences” with Marvel Studios.

So why rehash it now? Because, Baby Driver is the first film that Wright has directed since then, and it had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival on Saturday. Those that were in attendance can’t stop gushing about the fast-paced action-thriller. You can check out their reactions by clicking on “Start Slideshow.“
For the rest of us, we have to wait until August to see it. But while we patiently wait, we can at least enjoy its first trailer — which you can view in the video above.
A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
The cast also features Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Walking Dead), Eiza Gonzalez (Jem and the Holograms), Jon Hamm (Mad Men), and Jamie Foxx (Amazing Spider-Man 2).
It was written and directed by Edgar Wright, and produced by Nira Park, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. Edgar Wright, Adam Merims, James Biddle, Rachel Prior, Liza Chasin, and Michelle Wright are executive producers.
Baby Driver races into theater August 11, 2017!

C. I don’t think ass is going to recover for long, long time.#SXSW
#BabyDriver is pretty much the love child of Walter Hill, Stanley Donen and KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic.
