Talk about a blast from the past! The latest American Idol teaser has people all worked up with old footage from the reality show audition that catapulted country singer Carrie Underwood to stardom.
The promo first aired during the Country Music Awards Wednesday, of which Underwood was one of the hosts.

The footage shows a visibly nervous 21-year-old Underwood shuffle on stage in front of the judges before she begins to belt a heart stopping rendition of “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt.

“12 years ago America discovered Carrie Underwood,” text flashes across the screen. “Who will you discover next?”
Underwood went on to win the fourth season of American Idol and become a country superstar with songs like “Before He Cheats” and “Jesus Take the Wheel.”
The new season of American Idol premieres in March 2018 and will feature judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
