In an exclusive with PEOPLE, Scott and his wife had a dramatic and exciting gender reveal party, with cannons shooting confetti into the sky — pink for girl, blue for a boy.
Taking place at the Louisiana, home Scott grew up in, the couple simultaneously pulled poppers that exploded in blue confetti with the country crooner telling the publication the two are “in love with this little boy already.”
“We can’t wait to be parents! No nerves, just excitement. Blair knows what she is doing with kids, and she is going to be a great mom!” the 26-year-old said of his wife.

“My wife is so good with kids,” he adds. “I’ve watched her for a long time now and she’s really good. In that aspect, I’ve got her to show me everything I need to know.”
The spouses’ son will be joining the “big siblings,” Brodie and Bella and rounding out the clan to five family members.
Scott is hot off his success with his new single, that is also his first-ever No. 1 hit.
