According to TMZ, Shatner was participating in a horse and buggy competition at the Mercer County Fair & Horse Show in Harrodsburg Kentucky, where he was entered on the amateur level.
As Shatner turned a corner on the track, the horse seemed to get spooked, and it reared up for seemingly no reason. Shatner’s cart was immediately flipped, sending him into the ground.
