When a Barstool Sports writer came for Rihanna over her alleged weight gain, the singer/actress/bad gal kept pretty quiet, responding only with an indirect, cheeky meme.
But now the Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets star is ready to clap back.

A fan posted a video of Rihanna carrying four snacks at the store with friends. “Everybody who calling rob too fat @mdollas11 telling you what to do in this video K !!” the photo was captioned.
To put the icing on the cake, Rihanna commented on the video, “Somebody called me too fat?”
This body shaming battle began in May when sportswriter Chris ‘Spags’ Spagnuolo penned a story titled “Is Rihanna going to Make Being Fat the New Hot Trend?”

In the post, he said a new photo of Rihanna looked like she’d been “enjoying the good room service a bit too long.” The troll, who asked if the fashionista was “going for Ashley Graham‘s spot on the plus-size hierarchy” hid behind the premise that he wrote the story out of fear that Rihanna’s fame would influence other young people to gain weight to match her apparent new size.
“So you see her pushing 180 and it’s a tough world to stomach,” he wrote, then suggested that the “the hottest girls” will soon “look like the humans in Wall-E.”

Spagnuolo continued: “A world of ladies like the Hindenburg loaded into one-piece bathing suits may be on the horizon now that Rihanna is traipsing around out there looking like she’s in a sumo suit. It’s a dangerous precedent.”

When Spagnuolo shared the story on Twitter, he says he received serious backlash for his harsh words. The Barstool Sports writer even claimed he was being “cyberbullied” because people were so vocal about their distain for his post.
Rihanna didn’t respond to Spagnuolo directly, but this latest Instagram comment is proof RiRi is taking the high road, brushing off the fat-shaming haters and continuing to slay all day.
