While the BET Awards weekend stirred up all kinds of drama, it also led to rapper Lil Kim being investigated for her involvement in a robbery.
TMZ reports that the “Crush On You” and “Lady Marmalade” rapper is eyed as a “person of interest” after a robbery occurred at a business she had a monetary dispute with.

Kim (real name is Kimberly Jones) rented a space to throw a BET Awards party for her friends and associates to celebrate the weekend.
However, when she arrived at the property around 2 a.m. Sunday, she didn’t like it and demanded a refund of her deposit. The property managers refused to honor the request.
An altercation then occurred with the managers and her crew. Police were called, but ultimately could not do anything, as it was a civil dispute. But that’s just where the story heats up.

At 4 a.m. a group of unknown burglars broke into the facility and just happened to steal Kim’s deposit check and the large amount of cash she paid with. The total missing is at least $20,000.
The criminals, who were armed and wearing ski masks, then slashed the manager’s tires and even stole a hubcap.
The LAPD are investigating the break-in and think Kim and her associates may have something to do with it.
Kim and her representatives have not commented on the matter as of yet.
Kim still appeared at the BET Awards on Sunday night and has only tweeted once since the incident. The tweet was simply acknowledging a fan who complimented her.
