‘Big Bang Theory’ Star On Vocal Rest For One Month

The Big Bang Theory‘s Mayim Bialik got some unfortunate medical news this week, and she won’t be able to talk for an entire month.

In a tweet on Wednesday, the actress, who plays Amy Farrah Fowler on the show, revealed she’ll be on vocal rest after visiting her ear, nose and throat doctor.

She wrote, “Me waiting for a check up from my ENT. Can’t speak for a month. Yup. Check out today’s Instagram story for a vlog teaser for tomorrow.”

Along with the post she included a selfie of herself distraught next some intense medical equipment.

EW reports that the vocal rest shouldn’t interfere with the filming The Big Bang Theory‘s next season.

The show, which was recently renewed for two more seasons, will begining filming in August. Unless her illness worsens, she’ll be all rested up for production.

In the meantime, Bialik will still be interacting with fans through her YouTube channel. Despite the condition, she assured fans her regular updates won’t be stopped.

“Yes, I can still make videos voiceless!” she said. “Stay tuned for tomorrow’s voiceless video.”

Bialik is expected to be a major part of the next Big Bang season, especially after the much-hyped season finale cliffhanger.

At the end of the season, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) rushes to Amy’s doorstep and proposes. However we don’t see her answer, as the show cuts off mid-proposal.
