The assault occurred in June 2016, with Allen reportedly chasing his girlfriend into a coffee shop. A woman tried to intervene, with Allen allegedly throwing a glass vase at her and trashing the shop. He was then subdued by bystanders.
Deadline reports that Allen was formally convicted of one felony count each of willfully injuring a girlfriend after a prior conviction and assault with a deadly weapon (the glass vase), according to L.A. County D.A. Jackie Lacey’s office.
Allen was taken into custody immediately after Thursday’s hearing.
