Guthrie, who is mom toย daughter Vale, 2, and son Charles Max, 5 months, said she feels physically sick when she’s not with her kids.

“I have terrible mom guilt,” she said. “It is so real. I’m hardly ever away from my kids. I mean, hardly ever. I feel sick inside when I’m not with them โ€” I really do feel almost physically ill.”

“I miss them, I feel I’m letting them down,” she continued. “Even if I’m with them all day, all weekend long, and I want to go take a bath or something โ€” I feel bad if they’re in the other side of the apartment.”

“I’m telling you, I have it bad. Mom guilt is real.”

Bush Hager, mom toย daughters Mila, 4, and Poppy, 20 months, shared that she had a major mom guilt moment recently when she missed her daughter’s art show due to a work commitment.

“My flight was delayed,” she explained. “Mila said, ‘But Mommy, you weren’t there.’ โ€ฆ Mila went by herself without a parent, and that was the worst, really the worst I’ve ever felt โ€” when she went, ‘Where were you?’”

Jones, mom toย twins Clara and Uche, 4, and son Kayin, 7 shared that while it’s tough to juggle everything she has going on, seeing other moms going through the same thing is a comfort.

“It makes me feel better when I come to workย because a lot of us have that mom guilt,” she said. “We’re all doing it, we’re all juggling. Right now they’re being enriched somewhere by somebody.”

Kotbย was the one mom who shared that she doesn’t feel guilty for leaving her daughter, explaining that she always felt loved by her own working parents.

“I go to work and I sort of feel like I miss Haley, but I don’t ache,” she said. “I remember my mom going to work and saying, ‘I love you and I’m going to work, and when I come home I’m going to love you here.’”

“[My parents] missed things, but it didn’t scar me โ€” I knew they loved me,” she added. “I also knew they loved what they did. We are all workers in a way โ€” we love what we do.”
