Teen Mom OG star Catelynn Lowell has gone through a lot in recent years, including her struggle with Postpartum Depression. Lowell had previously checked into a treatment facility saying “I think it was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to come to, but I need to do for myself and my family,” Lowell tells PEOPLE.
On this week’s episode of the MTV reality show, the 25-year-old revealed more about her past, including her use of marijuana and her mental health problems.

“I started smoking weed when I was probably around 12 or 13, which I’m not proud of. But that was when I was young and crazy,” Lowell said in a clip from the episode.
During the emotional episode, the young mom left for a month of mental health treatment in Arizona, and Lowell admitted that the toughest part was leaving her one-year-old daughter, Novalee.
“I think the hardest part about leaving my family to go get help was just having to leave them, period. My kid and my husband, that was the hardest part,” Lowell shared. “Having to leave Nova and miss her for a month, that was the hardest thing about being away.”
The reality star later told her therapist that she hopes to make a change to her smoking habits when she gets back.
“I probably wont come home and smoke โ actually, I should just start saying I won’t come home and smoke ever again,” Us Weekly reports Lowell as saying. “I feel like I’m a crack addict or something that’s gotta go to rehab.”
