Fans Blame Jennifer Lawrence for Chris Pratt and Anna Faris Split

After Chris Pratt and Anna Faris announced that they are “legally separating” on Sunday, some fans began to blame Jennifer Lawrence for their split. While the idea is nothing more than conjecture, some social media users seem convinced that the Oscar winner was the reason Pratt and his wife of eight years called it called.

Lawrence, 26, and Pratt, 38, starred in the film Passengers together. Despite there being no indication that Lawrence had any involvement in the split, fans have been quick to recall one seemingly awkward exchange between Faris, 40, and Lawrence at the premiere of the movie in December of 2016.

The women were photographed hugging but Faris appeared to have a disgruntled expression on her face while Lawrence’s hands remain in a claw-like mold as to not fully touch her co-star’s wife.

While it might have been an uncomfortable moment, it definitely wasn’t concrete evidence that there was a rift between Faris and Lawrence. Either way, there are those that are saying Lawrence is at fault.

Some social media users believe that Pratt and Lawrence will announce that they are dating, even though Lawrence has been heavily involved for months with Darren Aronofsky.

While some are blaming Lawrence, there are others that are rushing to the Hunger Games star’s defense.

Pratt shared a message on his Facebook page to announce his separation from Faris.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” the statement read. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
