‘Chicago Fire’ Season 6 ‘Team Photo’ Sparks Mixed Fan Reaction

Chicago Fire has shared a new season six “team photo” that is getting mixed reactions from fans on social media.

The photo, which was posted on the shows official Twitter page, features the entire cast and crew, but fans thought they noticed one important person missing.

As fans scanned the picture, they mistakenly believed Monica Raymund, who played Gabriela Dawson in the series, was not included.

However, Raymund is pictured in the photo. She’s crouched down in the bottom left corner of the group, amidst a number of set crew.

Raymund recently announced her exit from the show, which may be why fans are so sensitive to her perceived exclusion.

“It has been an honor to play Dawson on Chicago Fire and one of the most meaningful experiences of my life,” Raymund wrote in a Twitter post, announcing her exit. “I am so thankful for the journey and especially to all of you for watching, but I have made the decision that it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter in life.”

Following her announcement, many of her fans took to social media to lament her leaving the show, with one fan commenting, “Wish they could have done that ending better for the loyal fans.”

“It wasn’t the best ending for a character or relationship but anyways, I’m just so glad you’re happy, that’s all that matters, thank you for this 6 years of laughs and tears, your passion for this tv show was unbelievable, once again, THANKS MONICA,” said another fan.

“We know as fans that this was probably one of the hardest decisions you’ve made as a actress. I wish you got a better ending as you deserved to but I can’t wait to see you succeed more in the future. I will always be a fan of you Monica, lots of love,” someone else wrote.

“So upset that you’re leaving! But thank you so much for being the great bada— gabby Dawson into my life. She has helped me through so much, so many hard times. I hope you know how much you and gabby mean to so many wonderful people,” added another fan.
