Scroll down to see which celebs picked the right fighter to root for.
Diddy
Back 2015,ย Diddyย won a $250,000 bet against Markย Wahlbergย over the outcome of theย Mannyย Pacquiaoย vs.ย Floydย Mayweatherย Jr. fight.
So, it stands to reason, the hip-hop mogul tossed his support back over toย Mayweatherย again this timeย around.
In a recent commercial for the big fight,ย Diddyย andย Wahlbergย throw on some gloves and hop into the ring themselves while talking about their picks.
Diddyย exuberantlyย says that he’s rooting for “Moneyย Mayweather, baby,” before exclaiming, “I’m going with the champ.”
Mike Tyson
Boxing legend Mike Tyson choseย Mayweatherย overย Mcgregor, but he has a professional-based opinion for why.
Tyson thought thatย McGregorย didn’t stand a “chance” againstย Mayweatherย becauseย boxing rules don’t allow for hisย mixed martial arts skills.
“McGregorย is going to get killed boxing,” Tyson said in aย podcastย interview.
He added, “McGregorย put hisย dumba–ย in a position where he’sย gonnaย get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all hisย life,ย since he was a baby.ย McGregorย can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance.”
Interestingly, back in 2015, Tyson calledย Mayweatherย aย “scared little man” afterย Mayweatherย referred to himself as “TBEย (The Best Ever)”ย while alsoย comparing himself toย Muhammad Ali.
50 Cent
World-famous rapper 50 Cent is a committed Floyd Mayweatherย fan.
Last month, 50 shared a screenshot photo on Instagram of himself and Mayweatherย having a video chat, captioning it with, “It’s 50, champ about to be 50-0, and the Little leprechaun is just the 50th Victim. Floyd said I’m a put the hand ? of God on that boy. LOL.”
Part of 50’s commitment to Mayweatherย probably has to do with theย fact that he and McGregor have a feudย going that allegedly started when the UFC fighter took some shots at him during one of the fight’s press conferences.
50 fired back by posting a video of McGregor’s comments along with the caption, “what the f— wrong wit this white boy, you fighting Floyd not me fool. LOL.”
