She used the opportunity to encourage her fans to request female artists’ songs on the radio and dedicated the song to those artists that aren’t being played.
“I’m gonna do one by myself, because I can,” Lambert told the crowd. “I want to do this on behalf of all the girls that are not being played on country radio right now. If you really love us, you will call and request any female that has a song out and something to say.”

There has been some controversy surrounding females in the country industry over the last few years. Because of this, the female artists are speaking out against the injustice in the genre, including Lambert.
She has a unique perspective since she has made it far into the industry, despite issues at country radio, and she does all she can to encourage other women trying to make it in country music to keep pushing.
“Tim Man” is Lambert’s most recent single from her album The Weight of These Wings.
