A British model was kidnapped, stuffed in a suitcase and was slated to be sold at auction on the dark web, according to Italian police.
PEOPLE reports that the 20-year-old model, whose name has not been released, went to an apartment in Milan for a photo shoot back in July. However, when she entered the apartment she was allegedly assaulted, drugged and placed in a travel bag before being transported in the trunk of a car, according to the police’s statement.

The woman was taken to a home near Turin where she was handcuffed to a chest of drawers for six days before being taken to the British consulate in Milan. The woman told police that her captors released her after discovering that she has a small child, telling her that they did not deal with mothers.
Lukasz Herba, a 30-year-old Polish national, was arrested on kidnapping charges outside the consulate after dropping off the victim. According to police, Herba had demanded a $300,000 ransom from the woman’s agent and claimed to be working with an illegal trafficking organization.
“The kidnapper had demanded that the woman’s agent pay a $300,000 ransom to prevent her from being sold,” the police statement said.
Herba told police that he had allegedly organized several online auctions to sell young girls for a trafficking organization called “Black Death Group,” though police said it was unclear if Herba had abducted other victims.
Authorities are searching for another suspect in connection to this case.
