At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Halle Berry raised a few eyebrows when she downed a pint of bourbon during the panel for Kingsman: The Golden Circle. As it turns out, the move was a dare from co-star Channing Tatum, although Berry got her revenge Thursday on Live! with Kelly and Ryan.
Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum, was filling in for Kelly Ripa, and Berry was a guest on the show.

“I heard this. I would say I’m surprised, but I’m not that surprised,” Dewan Tatum responded. “But you did it, which makes you so awesome!”
“I did do it. And guess what? You’re gonna do it, too,” Berry said, revealing a glass of whiskey.
Quickly accepting the challenge, Dewan Tatum replied, “Done and done. I love this. This is typical. I’m getting his payback right now. This’s OK, though. I’m into thisโฆ Nothing like a 9 a.m. whiskey chug!”

The actress impressively downed the drink before joking, “Thanks, babe. I’m gonna have real fun doing the interview now.”
She added that her husband had been eager for her to become friends with Berry after the pair filmed together
“It’s funny, too. In the 12 years of knowing Chan, he has never come back after a movie and said, ‘You’ve got to meet somebody,’” she recalled. “He, like, friend-matched us.”
Berry also expressed her appreciation for her co-star, noting, “Only he could get me to do that. Honestly, I don’t know if I would’ve done it if anybody else asked me.”
“And thanks Halle for the bourbon,” Dewan Tatum later joked on Instagram. “I’m feeling waaay more relaxed for this flight home now.”
