Fans of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air will be excited to hear that one of the show’s recurring actors has said that there have been “talks” of a reunion.

DJ Jazzy Jeff, who played Will’s best friend Jazz on the show, was asked about a series reunion and was quoted saying, “There have been talks with people about doing something. I think it would be cool if they did it and go down memory lane again,” per a report by The Huffington Post.

The interview Jeff gave was done to promote him and Will’s first ever live UK performance together at Livewire Festival (Aug 25-27).

Earlier this year rumors of a show reunion began swirling when Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton Banks on the show, posted a photo on Instagram of himself with Will Smith, Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Vivian), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Tatyana M. Ali (Ashley Banks), and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey Butler).

He captioned the photo, “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”

Sadly, as Ribeiro references, the actor who played Uncle Phil on the show, James Avery, passed away in 2013.

His cause of death was due to complications from open heart surgery. He was 68 years old.

In response to the rumors of a Fresh Prince reunion, Ribiero sent a message through his publicist, saying, “[R]egretfully there can never be a real Fresh Prince reunion without James Avery, who’s loss we all still miss.”
