According to Deadline, Once Upon a Time has cast Australian actress Emma Booth as a character known only as The Witch. The report states that she is “as wicked as they come.”
The Witch is only set as a recurring character, but it sounds like she could be the main antagonist of the season. Despite the new addition, the trio of Rumplestiltskin, Hook and Regina will all still be around.

Booth will be recognized by audiences for her role alongside Gerard Butler and Elodie Yung in last year’s Gods of Egypt. Most recently, Booth appeared in an indie-thriller, Hounds of Love.
The announcement of The Witch comes not long after Once Upon a Time added a new Cinderella, casting Dania Ramirez in the role.
Once will return to an all-new night this fall, premiering on Friday, October 6 on ABC.
