That’s Definitely Pennywise

While this isn’t Tim Curry in the flesh, this doll is clearly a model of his iconic horror character.

The doll is donning the classic yellow pants that fans remember, as well as the original blue shirt.

The most recognizable trait of Curry’s Pennywiseย here is the combination of his head and hair. This doll has the large, pearl-white head with the bright red hair growing out of it.ย

For fans of the original IT, there’s no mistaking the doll’s identity.

This scene was tough to watch on a computer or TV screen, but it was even more difficult see the clown in person, on the set of IT.

How the Losers’ Club Actors Reacted to Pennywise

Pennywiseย the Clownย is terrifying to see on the screen, but can you imagine seeing him in person?

This is the situation that a group of young actors found themselves in when they arrived on set to begin filmingย Stephen King’sย It.

The stars portray the infamous Losers’ Club, a group of kids inย the classic King novelย that are terrorized by the killer clown. While it was just a set of a movie โ€” somewhere they’ve all been before โ€” seeingย Pennywiseย (Billย Skarsgard)ย for the first time was quite an experience.

While promotingย Itย at San Diego Comic-Con, The Losers’ Club stars took some time to chat with us about their experiences with the clown on set.

More IT

IT stars Jaeden Lieberherย (Midnight Special),ย Finnย Wolfhardย (Stranger Things) and Billย Skarsgรฅrdย (The Divergent Series:ย Allegiant) as It /ย Pennywiseย the Clown. It is scheduled to be released in theaters on September 8th, 2017.

In the novel,ย the story unfolds by jumping between the past and present, with adults reconvening after the tragic death of one of their childhood friends. As the adults reunite, the story goes back to the characters’ beginnings to show their first experiences meeting one another to help explain their dynamic as adults.

The first film to hit theaters will focus solely on the characters as kids, with the plan being that the next film would depict the characters as adults, while also incorporating flashbacks to incidents that occurred when they were younger.
