Michael Fassbender stars as Henry Hole, working a case that begins when a ominous snowman is found at the scene of a brutal murder – one in a string of recent murders of women around Olso, Norway. When Hole notices the snowman connection, it opens a window on the career of a serial killer who has been operating under the radar for decades – all the way back to the first serial murders in Norway’s history.
Hole is soon aided by a newcomer detective named Katrine Bratt (Rebecca Ferguson), but the two find their target is much more cunning than they ever imagined. As the detectives get closer, the killer finds ways to turn the tables on them, making them the suspects in their own case.
The Snowman movie is being done by acclaimed Swedish director Tomas Alfredson, whose credits include Let The Right One In and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. It will be in theaters on October 20, 2017.
