The Grammy-winning group looked to Twain’s music for influence and paid homage to the singer when they covered her smash ballad, “You’re Still the One,” during their Toronto stop of the You Look Good Tour.
The band caught up with Twain before the show and compared her song to parallels in their own journey together, relating to lines like, “You’re still the one I run to” in regards to their song, “I Run to You.”

In a stripped-down moment in the show, Lady A performed their own rendition of the hit tune as Twain and her husband watched from the audience. Tour opener Kelsea Ballerini, who has previously expressed her love for Twain, sat next to her and revealed she was moved to tears as the song finished.
“First show ever in Canada tonight. My hero and new friend @shaniatwain came to see the show, and then I got to sit with her and her sweet hubby and be a part of this moment watching @ladyantebellum sing the song that made all of us aspire to be as good as her one day,” Ballerini wrote in an Instagram post.
“Held back so many tears, but man are they coming down now. One of those moments that I will keep in my heart forever. #still the one,” the caption continued.
Sounds like it will be pretty tough to top this epic tour moment!
