The 33-year-old mom of two stunned in a striped black and white bikini while cozying up to Spedding on her boat, which she recently rechristened Bad Decisions, after changing its name from Flips and Flops.
We can’t get enough of the home design guru’s fit figure, which she says is a result of eating healthy and exercise โ running and yoga in particular.
“There is nothing like a good three-mile run for me to really clear my head and get my endorphins going,” she told PEOPLE. “My other go-to is yoga. I have the most amazing private instructor who has changed my life. Our sessions are very spiritual and have really helped me cope with my divorce and other emotions I’m going through during this time.”
El Moussa is also a big fan of circuit training at Orangetheory, a popular chain boutique gym.
“I discovered Orangetheory and I’m totally hooked!” she says. “It combines running, which is my favorite workout, with weight training, which I never do on my own. It goes by super quickly and is always challenging. And it helped to get me in the best shape of my 30s!”
El Moussa’s active lifestyle is a way to help her cope with the stress of everyday life: “Exercise is my stress reliever,” she says.
Along with exercise, El Moussa eats a clean, generally gluten- and dairy-free macro-centered diet. Her nutritionist, Cara Clark, told Us Weekly that each meal of El Moussa’s is made up of 50 percent carbs, 30 percent fat and 20 percent protein. She says that particular mix of macros “keeps blood sugars stable and keeps you in fat-burning mode. And it’s the one research has shown is the most satisfying.”
