Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver is a arriving in theaters on a wave of some great anticipatory buzz and critical reviews. But along with the already star-studded cast the film brings (Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm…) there is, apparently, a secret appearance from one of the biggest stars on the planet – and no one has spotted it, yet.

Months ago, Wright teased a potential Baby Driver appearance from Meryl Streep, and Cinemablend followed up with the director about it, after several members of the site’s staff failed to spot the Oscar-winning icon during various screenings of the movie.

Wright took to Twitter to once again claim that Streep indeed appears in Baby Driver – albeit with the caveat that she “sort of” appears in the film. Intrepid viewers are already trying to interpret what that “sort of” appearance could mean, with one good guess being that Streep (likely in one of her many films) is featured in some background TV footage.

Indeed, one of Baby Driver‘s subplots is about Baby’s (Ansel Elgort) foster dad Joseph (CJ Jones), who is deaf and confined to a wheelchair, yet spends his days happily watching TV. Baby spends several scenes sitting with Joseph and channel surfing – and Meryl Streep could easily be featured on one of the grainy channels in Joseph’s old and outdated box set television.

Now that this Easter egg is officially out there, it will be up to fans heading into theaters to see Baby Driver to keep a sharp eye out and identify exactly where, when, and how Streep show up in the film.
