Much has been made about Enzo Amore the past few weeks. Oddly enough, none if it comes from an actual wrestling match. Instead, Enzo has been making headlines for all of the wrong reasons.
It’s been reported that Enzo has become somewhat of a social pariah in the WWE locker room. While that may be easy to believe, the reason why he had become such an outcast was always hazy. Sources have cited him being obnoxious on a bus or just hard to be around in general. But now, thanks to SI.com, we have access to the specific instance that got Enzo barred from the WWE locker room:

“In addition to reports first released by the Wrestling Observer that Amore was kicked off the European Tour bus and forced to change outside the locker room, Sports Illustrated also learned that Amore is guilty of bringing a series of questionable guests into the locker room. The visitors broke locker room etiquette by filming and taking pictures of the wrestlers. The talent in the WWE believes that Amoreโwho is 30-year-old Eric Arndtโshould know better.”
This is the most tangible evidence to date on why Amore has been given the proverbial Miz treatment. Earlier in his career, The Miz rubbed some locker room veterans the wrong way and was abolished from changing in the talent clubhouse, thus birthing the “Miz Treatment.”
The disdain for Amore has become all too public as last week on the WWE network show, Bring it to the table, Corey Graves buried Big Cass‘ former tag partner:
“No! No, I don’t like Enzo. He’s a fine guy, butโฆ again, the guy you see on Monday nights, is that guy 24 hours a day. There’s no off switch. It rubs people the wrong way. If you’re on a European tour 12 days deep, and he’s going on and on and on about how he partied on the weekend in LA, you’re gonna get tired of hearing about it. There’s a limit, and when you’re on the road that much, that’ll wear on your nerves.”
JBL also offered to pile on Amore:
“Besides Miz, when the locker room turns on a guy (Enzo), like a human repellent, they usually don’t last long afterward”.
Enzo has not only bothered his peers on a personal level, but maybe even WWE on a professional perspective. We reported last week that WWE is considering ending Enzo down to NXT and possibly 205 Live. While that rumor has yet to totally manifest, it’s one of those grumblings that seemed to be loaded with truth.
It’s a tough time to be Enzo Amore.
