Earlier this weekend, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley made a post on Facebook praising the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch. He spoke extremely highly of her work, and the bright future he sees in the former SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Papa Mick was inspired to write the blog post after seeing his daughter Noelle Foley’s interview with Lynch from San Diego Comic Con, which you can watch below.

Mick Foley has always been a huge fan of women’s wrestling and the WWE women’s division as a whole, and has never been hesitant to let it be known. He’s written similar pieces about Sasha Banks, The Bella Twins, Charlotte and others; but it’s clear Mick is very fond of Lynch and sees a lot of success in store for her.

Here’s just an excerpt from Foley’s full post, below:

“the charisma, humor, and yes, straight fire Becky displayed in a fun little interview was illustrative of her still untapped potential in WWE. Not that Becky hasn’t done great things already in #WWE, but I just have this gut feeling that we have yet to see the very best from the #IrishLassKicker. It’s a potential that may just be one great angle, one incredible promo, one magic moment away.”

Mick goes on to suggest that Becky could benefit greatly from “someone behind the scenes at WWE SmackDown Live who can wind her up…and let her go…” like Paul Heyman once did for Steve Austin, Taz, and others in ECW, adding “I think Ms Lynch is capable of taking her game to a level she herself might not think possible.”

Foley has said in the past that if he could manage any one WWE talent, his choice would be Becky Lynch, which fueled rumors at the time. Considering he’s no longer RAW GM, with Kurt Angle currently occupying his former position, could this be a way for Foley to someday get a foot back in the door of WWE?

Meanwhile, Becky Lynch has continued her Twitter war with UFC fighter Cristiane “Cris Cyborg” Justino, with both athletes clearly seeking to settle their beef in a WWE ring in the near future.

Lynch still doesn’t have an announced opponent for SummerSlam, having lost out on a chance to challenge Naomi for the SmackDown women’s championship. But could all the behind-the-scenes pieces to make a match between her and the UFC star a reality actually come together in time for the August 20th PPV?

Our money would be on this feud continuing to build until the next big event. Lynch vs. Cyborg would make a perfect match for Hell in a Cell, as the October PPV was just recently announced to be a SmackDown Live PPV.
