With Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins playing together so nicely, much of the wrestling community is clamoring for an official and full Shield reunion. The missing link, Roman Reigns, shares that sentiment.
In a interview with ESPN, Reigns was asked if he hopes a Shield reunion is in the cards:

“Hopefully in the near future maybe. Not only to prolong my career maybe, because it does take it out of you running into those meatballs [Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe] for 30 minutes at a time, but there’s just some kind of magic when the three of us get together and we’re just moving on all cylinders. It always seems to be a great time for the crowd.”
Reigns’ answer is surprisingly transparent, maybe he’s still a little loopy from last night’s sadistic Fatal 4-Way. Regardless, it sounds like Reigns is optimistic about not only a Shield reunion, but that is may be happening soon.
We’re not exactly sure what “near future” means in WWE. For all we know, Vince McMahon told Macho Man in 1996 he’d be inducted into the HOF in the “near future” (Macho had to wait till he died). However, a Shield reunion may not be able to wait much longer.

The team of Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are the hottest duo on WWE right now. Really, their narrative has been on of the best executed plots in recent WWE memory. There’s plenty more to come as we can reasonably expect a heel turn from Ambrose. In an interview it sounds like Ambrose may have already turned his back on Reigns:
“I’m not speaking to Roman right now. I haven’t spoken to him in about three weeks. It all started in Huntington, WV. We stop at a Popeye’s drive thru before the show and there’s a whole thing with an alleged biscuit that didn’t make into a box or whatever but basically, he stole my apple pie. I’m not speaking to him. I told him to pull over right now and so don’t have any illusions of a Shield reunion anytime soon.”
While this is Ambrose just having fun, we shouldn’t hold our breath for a full Shield reunion. We may be able to start the countdown after WrestleMania 34, though.
