You may hate James Ellsworth, but “Stone Cold” Steve Austin loves him.

On his most recent episode of his podcast, the WWE legend covered all of this week’s happenings in WWE, ranging from Samoa Joe to Sasha Banks.

When the subject of the Women’s Money in the Bank came up, the conversation steered towards Carmella and her chinless pet troll:

“James Ellsworthโ€ฆGod dang that guy is entertaining as hell.”

Stone Cold would go out to say glowing remarks about Carmella and her sudden rise to the top of SmackDown:

“I like this because I liked her with the briefcase to to begin withโ€ฆher promos have really been coming out, her character is really starting to come out, she’s really starting really just be – just more confidence.”

Of course, WWE is doing all they can to make sure we despise Ellsworth. And to their credit, and his, they’ve done a phenomenal job. Using the fuel of sexism, Ellsworth rocketed from being Carmella’s back-up dancer to the top of any WWE discussion.

Even better, it’s not just fans who are bothered by Ellsworth. Becky Lynch and Daniel Bryan have been outwardly furious by Ellsworth’s persistent interference. WWE could be building Ellsworth into a bigger angle involving one of these two. I mean, Ellsworth is a main event player, he did challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship not long ago.

For Carmella, her situation remains fluid. As Ms. Money in the Bank, WWE may choose to have her law low for a few months, but that may be a mistake. She’s one of the company’s hottest acts and the sooner she cashes in, the better.

Looking forward, we can probably bank on WWE expanding on Becky Lynch’s frustrations by handing success to Ellsworth and Carmella.

More than anything, people are talking about women’s wrestling. The women’s division for both RAW and SmackDown getting pretty juicy. Stay tuned, folks.
