WWE Posts Images Of Lana’s New Ring Gear

If you own stock in the female power suit industry, now may be a good time to sell, because WWE Star, Lana, has ditched her old Ravishing Russian business lady attire for an entirely new look.

WWE knows you’ve been patient and they also know you’re probably getting sick of going through the entire Emmalina saga all over again, so today they posted roughly 60 new images of Lana‘s new look on their site this week.

Lana and Rusev joined the Smackdown Live roster as a part of the 2017 Superstar Shake-Up. While we first assumed that meant it would be business as usual for Rusev‘s valet, the tweet that accompanied the announcement claimed Lana was coming to women’s division. Lana has toured with NXT and worked the pre-show of last year’s WrestleMania, and WWE has reportedly been considering a singles run for her which ties into her dance background for some time now.

The reason Lana’s debut has so closely mimicked Emmalina’s is that WWE basically gave her the gimmick when they felt Emma wasn’t committing enough to the role. WWE had been wanting to feature a female competitor who more closely resembled the sex symbols of the Attitude Era. While those ladies were the norm only ten years ago, they are actually more of a rarity in the Women’s Revolution era.

It’s been six weeks since Lana’s debut was announced she’s yet to join Team Blue.

While we’ve gotten some hint of the new gimmick via her super catchy promo videos, here are some of the best images of her new look. Warning: These may endear you to Lana but they’ll likely make you hate Rusev.

Here we have what I imagine a Wonder Woman costume would look like if purchased at Fredericks of Hollywood. Don’t think for a minute I wrote that as a negative. If Lana’s new gimmick is supposed to be a throwback to the eye candy days of the Attitude Era, I’d say this probably fits the bill.

The silver boots make Lana look like a bit like a James Bond villain. The red flames on the suit are subtle while also sort of bad ass. I dig it.

Wait, is she naked and covered in glitter? Oh, I see. Whatever. I’m not objectifying her. All wrestlers do battle in their underwear. That’s just the nature of the business. And if you’re still looking at these images, you’re in no place to judge me. So let’s just move on to the next slide, shall we?

Here, Lana is rocking the Evening Gown competition portion of her new look. This is pretty much what we’ve come to associate with her new chair dancer look. Not totally sure how this matches up with her ring gear. Maybe the gowns are tear-off. I don’t know. 

The women are rumored to have their first ever Money In The Bank ladder match at this year’s MitB pay per view. Having Lana debut in a match where she doesn’t have to be the focal point could be a great way to get her started. 

Then again, it took Emmalina 17 weeks to debut, so we may be in for a long haul.
