An episode of Law & Order: SVU featuring guest star Timothy Busfield has been pulled from NBC’s schedule as the actor faces accusations of sexual abuse involving a minor.
Busfield was set to appear in the Law & Order: SVU episode originally scheduled to air this Thursday, titled “Corrosive,” but Give Me My Remote was first to report that NBC is now airing the following episode, “Fidelis Ad Mortem,” in its place. It’s unclear if and when “Corrosive” will air.

News broke Friday that the Albuquerque Police Department had issued an arrest warrant for The West Wing alum as the 68-year-old actor faces two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse.
Busfield, who is married to Melissa Gilbert, is accused of having engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with twin 11-year-old boys while they were child actors on the set of the FOX’s The Cleaning Lady, where Busfield acted as a director, according to the arrest warrant obtained by PEOPLE.
After the show, which ran from January 2022 until June 2025, had ended, the twins’ mothers told authorities in September 2025 that her one son had told a counselor that Busfield had inappropriately touched him.
Busfield allegedly told police that the boys’ parents were upset their sons had been replaced by a younger actor. Soon after, the actor said, he got a call from Warner Bros. informing him they were investigating a complaint.

Asked by investigators if he had ever picked up or tickled the boys, Busfield allegedly responded that it was โhighly likely that he would haveโ because he wanted โa playful environment” on set.
“It’s not allowed at all,โ Busfield allegedly said of touching on set. โThere is no, there’s no protocol. I mean, I’m always around people, right? It would be, you know, in front of the parents.โ
โThere would never be a weird moment about it. I don’t really remember picking those boys up,โ he continued. โI remember picking up the boy who followed them. I’d pick him up, and he’d be giggling, and that would sort of get him ready to act.”
Busfield also faced other allegations of sexual assault in 1994, as per the warrant.
Following news of Busfield’s warrant, The Cleaning Ladyย producersย Warner Bros. TV issued a statement: “The health and safety of our cast and crew is always our top priority, especially the safety of minors on our productions. We take all allegations of misconduct very seriously and have systems in place to promptly and thoroughly investigate, and when needed, take appropriate action. We are aware of the current charges against Mr. Busfield and have been and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement.”
