Matthew Morrison has confirmed his involvement in the upcoming season of Grey's Anatomy.

The Glee alum will reprise his character, Jo's abusive husband Paul Stadler, and is set to play a "big role" in the ABC drama's 14th season, according to The Argonaut.

The 38-year-old actor first appeared on Grey's in the penultimate episode of season 13. Alex (Justin Chambers) tracked him down at a medical conference while imagining a number of incendiary scenarios involving his adversary. Despite his animosity towards Paul, Alex walked away without confronting him.

At this time, there have been a handful of details to surface regarding the next season of Grey's. There have also been some serious spoilers to emerge. Check out a few of the biggest spoilers for next season here.

One exciting detail that has come out is that the showrunners have re-cast Owen's sister. Abigail Spencer will be taking on the role of Megan Hunt, a character previously played by Bridget Regan.

Owen's sister has been referenced multiple times throughout the course of Grey's Anatomy and the character finally was featured in the first appearance last season with Regan in the role.

Regan is currently busy with TNT's The Last Ship and her scheduling conflict was the cause behind the re-casting.

Grey's Anatomy Season 14 kicks off with a two-hour episode on Thursday, Sept. 28 on ABC. Check your local listings.
