Meghan Davidson, 26, was found barely breathing in Fort Myers, Florida on Thursday after being struck in the head by lightning. Davidson was one week away from her due date and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she gave birth to a baby boy.

Both Davidson and baby Owen were in critical condition, but Davidson was reportedly upgraded to "serious" condition. There are no confirmed updates on the baby's condition.

Davidson was walking with her mother in Whispering Palms, a gated community, when she was struck by lightning. Davidson's fellow churchgoer Carol Bridges told CBS 46 that her condition is improving: "They have lowered the amount of oxygen that she is getting and they have lowered the sedation," she said.

Davidson is married to husband Matt Davidson and has two other children.

"Matt wants everybody to just keep praying," Matt's business partner James McCoy said.
