This wasn't what the couple expected for their wedding photos.

One groom claims Delta Airlines allegedly lost his luggage while he was en-route to his destination wedding in Iceland. A friend of the bride shared their story on Reddit, with the caption, "If you want to wind up in the same country as your wedding outfits, don't fly Delta Airlines."

The photo posted speaks volumes for the unfortunate situation. The groom had to improvise for the ceremony and wore his boxers and a white t-shirt with the message, "This wedding suit courtesy of Delta Airlines," written in sharpie.

The whole debacle started when the couple missed their connection flight from Washington D.C. to Iceland. At that point, they were redirected to fly to Paris, then Berlin and eventually made their way to Iceland. However, their luggage was eventually found in Frankfurt.

The Reddit post claimed Delta "washed their hands" of the situation after they blamed a partner airline.

A Delta spokesperson released a statement to Cosmopolitan, which read, "Unfortunately, we were not able to provide the customers with their items in time for their special day. We have reached out to them, offered an apology, and reached an amicable resolution."

Other Reddit users were quick to defend Delta because of the groom's decision to not travel with his wedding outfit.

"I mean, it sucks," one user wrote, "but if I were traveling to my wedding and had to have a certain outfit, I would either carry it on with me or ship it ahead of me."

Another agreed, saying, "Yes, why would you check your wedding clothes if you are flying to your own wedding? A tux can easily fit in a carry on bag."
