Florida Woman Filmed Asking Man to Kill Husband, Attorney Claims It Was For Reality TV Stunt

A Florida woman will be spending 16 years in prison after being accused of hiring a hit man to kill her husband back in 2009.

Dalia Dippolito was convicted of solicitation of first-degree murder. The prosecutors on the case accused her of plotting to have her spouse, Michael Dippolito, murdered, even though she says that there was never any plans to follow through with the scheme.

In response to the prosecution’s accusations, Dalia’s lawyers claimย that the entire situation was a stunt to help her, her husband, and her former lover land a reality TV show.

During the trial, the jurors were played a recording of Dippolito explaining to an undercover detective that she was “5,000 percent sure” she wanted her husband dead.

Circuit Judge Glenn Kelley wasn’t buying the defense. He said that Dippolitoย acted in a “cold and calculated” manner.

Brian Claypool, Dippolito’s attorney is accusing the Boynton Beach Police Department of not conducting a thorough investigation into the matter because they were preoccupied with capturing good material for the TV show Cops.
