3-Year-Old Beaten to Death for Drinking From Milk Jug

A little boy was beaten to death last week after drinking from a milk jug, police in central Florida said.

Xavier Mokarzel-Satchel died Friday night after the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said he was rushed to the hospital after suffering from blunt force trauma.

According to Inside Edition, an arrest report said that on the night of Xavier’s murder, his mother, Brandi Mokarzel, claimed she woke to the sound of her girlfriend’s mom, Callene Barton, yelling at the 3-year-old for drinking from a milk jug and eating yogurt.

Mokarzel told police she witnesses her girlfriend, Lakesha Lewis, beat Xavier with a plastic wand that’s used to turn window blinds. She then added that Barton grabbed her son and threw him down the hallway.

Both Lewis and Barton were arrested, charged with aggravated child abuse and first-degree murder, WKMG reports.

Mokarzel was also taken into custody and charged with neglect after failing to report previous abuse in the home, according to police.

Deputies said Lewis’ 4-year-old son was placed in protective custody and a judge has denied bail to both over the weekend.
