Whipped cream canister kills French fitness model
In June, a French fitness model died in a freak accident involving a whipped cream dispenser. The family of 33-year-old Rebecca Burger took to her Instagram page to share the news of her death.
Burger, who has more than 170k followers on Instagram, was killed after a faulty whipped cream dispenser exploded and struck her in the chest, her family wrote on social media. According to BBC, she received medical attention after the incident but later died of cardiac arrest.
In the family's announcement of Rebecca's death (as referenced in the Instagram post above), they warned people against using the whipped cream dispenser from a French manufacturer. They claim that there are still thousands of the defective products being sold.

Weeks after an exploding whipped cream can killed 33-year-old Burger, another defective container of whipped cream exploded and injured a French mother, causing a leg wound and destroying her kitchen ceiling.
Heidi Dumotier from Trémery, France was baking her 4-year-old daughter a birthday dessert when the can exploded and she was injured.
"I shake the bottle, and — boom — it explodes. It was terrible, the lid was gone and the bottle was lodged in the ceiling," BBC reports she told radio station France Bleu. "If I had taken that to the head, I would have been finished."
She said the exploding canister left a six-inch hole in her ceiling. The extent of her leg injury is unknown.
"At the time, I did not understand what was going on and did not feel anything. It was only when I saw the blood I realized."

In April, a mother and daughter in the Czech Republic died after becoming trapped in a friend's sauna.
The women, aged 65 and 45, were using the sauna at a friend's home and had been in the sauna for around 90 minutes when their friend went to check on them.
"The owner thought they were taking too long to come out so she went to check and found them lying on the floor," police spokeswoman Iva Kormosova said in a statement.
"The handle on the sauna door broke and the women were trapped. They tried to break the window on the door but failed," Kormosova continued.
Emergency services were called and pronounced the women dead at the scene.

California parents Jose Hernandez and Araceli Avila mourned the loss of their 3-year-old daughter in May, who died suddenly after a dental procedure.
KCRA reported that Daleyza Hernandez Avila was having two teeth pulled and getting caps on two other teeth at the Children's Dental Surgery Center in Stockton when something went horribly wrong.
The child's mother, who said that Daleyza was under sedation for the procedure, was not allowed inside the room while her daughter was receiving treatment. Avila was waiting outside when she saw an ambulance arrive.
"And I stood up and went outside because I was like, 'They are coming for a kid,' but I never thought it was for my child," Avila said.
A few moments after the ambulance arrived nurses took Avila aside to tell her that something was wrong. Avila said that she was told her daughter's heart had stopped, but that she was stable. The little girl later died at a local hospital. Her cause of death has not yet been determined.

Earlier this month, a 12-year-old girl was pronounced dead after being run over by a speedboat driven by her father, according to the New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol.
Zoe Anderson was learning how to ski on Monday morning when she fell, ABC News reported. Her father, Sherwood Anderson, was driving the boat back toward his daughter's location, but was momentarily "distracted as his hat was blown from his head," according to police.
Sherwood put the boat into neutral but it passed over Zoe's body at a slow speed, causing serious injuries to her torso.
Zoe's mother, Tonya Anderson, and her 14-year-old sister were on board the boat at the time of the tragic accident.
The family immediately called for help and brought Zoe to shore where first responders attempted to revive her with CPR, but were unsuccessful.

A New Jersey boy died while away at summer camp earlier this month, just days after celebrating his 11th birthday.
Daniel Beer had been attending Camp Nah-Jee-Way in Milford, Pennsylvania when he began complaining of stomach issues. He was treated at the camp infirmary before being taken to the hospital when his condition worsened.
The boy was pronounced dead at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, New York. According to NJ.com, his parents received an email last Thursday stating that Daniel had Neisseria meningitidis, a bacterium that can cause meningitis. Symptoms of infection include nausea and vomiting, in addition to sudden fever, headache, stiff neck and confusion.
While meningitis had been ruled out as a cause of death, the email indicated that a culture tested positive for the bacteria.
