Alyssa Milano Plans on Breastfeeding Daughter: 'Maybe Even Until She's Six'

Alyssa Milano is a proud breastfeeding mama. She has gotten some strong support for pictures she posted online breastfeeding her 1-year-old daughter, Elizabella, but she's also gotten some backlash.

"I don't care," she said to ET. "I'm going to keep breastfeeding, maybe even until [Elizabella is] 6!"

What's "crazy" to Milano is how people can react completely differently to Miley Cyrus and her "Free the Nipple" movement than to a photo of a mother breastfeeding. Cyrus singer frequently flashes her nipples on camera, most recently at the MTV Video Music Awards.

"Everyone's fine with her nipples being out," she said. "I think people are more comfortable sexualizing breasts than relating them to what they were made for, which is feeding another human."

These days, Miliano's mission is to be the best mom to Elizabella and 4-year-old son Milo she can possibly be. "When you have these babies, that connection is so meant to be and so profound," she said. "You look at them and you go, 'Oh, this is why. This is why I went through everything in my life.'"
