2016 Golden Globes Red Carpet Fashion

The stars brought their red carpet magic tonight with the first major event of the season, The 2016 Golden Globes. From J-La’s red hot gown to J-Lo’s citrus statement-maker, the stars showed off their most glamorous looks.

Classic Black

‘Outlander’s’ Caitriona Balfe chose a black overlay dress for her big night as a nominee while Kirsten Dunst took the plunge with a Valentino gown and best actress winner Lady Gaga chanelled Marilyn Monroe with her demure Versace.

Midnight Blues

We applaud Bryce Dallas Howard for proudly saying that she did in fact purchase her sapphire Jenny Packham gown herself, nearly unheard of for her fellow stats. Newcomber Sarah Hay of ‘Flesh and Bone’ wore a gray-blue number that echoed her ballet-dancing character. While Jenna Dewan Tatum rocked her Zuhair Murad gown, she kept the accessories to just one: her hubby.

Sultry Blues

Kate Winslet was elegant as she accepted her award, wearing a navy blue gown while Julianne Moore’s fitted Tom Ford sequin gown by Tom Ford was highlighted by the actress’s side swept signature red locks. Melissa McCarthy’s draped 70’s number was one of her own fabulous designs, Melissa McCarthy Seven7.

Sparklers

Jane Wu’s mirrored number ‘wowed’ and Heidi Klum’s feathered, fringe flapper gown by Marchesa was much talked about. Portia Doubleday continued the deep-v trend with her mirror-ball sizzling Naeem Khan.

Winter White

Alicia Vikander’s was statuesque in her Louis Vuitton subtle sequin and slightly ruffled number. Taraji P. Henson’s Stella McCartney gown was simple and elegant as she accepted her award (while giving out cookies!) for her performance in ‘Empire’ and Lily James showed nothing of her ‘Downton Abbey’ character as she glided across the carpet in Marchesa.

Shades of Blush

Jamie Foxx could not have been more proud of his daughter, Corinne as she graced the red carpet as the 2016 Miss Golden Globe. The beauty wore a nude illusion gown with delicate white accents. While Kate Hudson went for a minimal look with her ab-flashing Michael Kors ensemble that had us thinking, “I’ll have what she is having.” Katy Perry kept the mood light with her bubble-gum pink Prada and 60’s-esque hair homage.

Golden Girls

Rosie Huntington-Whitely was glowing for a number of reasons; the model looked incredible in her dress, however, it did not go unnoticed that the beauty was rocking a stunning engagement ring from boyfriend turned fiance, Jason Statham. Regina King took to the red carpet with her gilded dress by Krikor Jabotia and best actress winner, Brie Larson stunned in Calvin Klein.

Citrus Sweet

America Ferrera’s put us in a summer mood with her flowing lemon-colored gown with silver detail. Jennifer Lopez, meanwhile, is never one to shy from bold fashion statements and this event was no different. Lopez’s Giambattista Valli gown had a dramatic leg-slit balanced by a draped cape.

Red Hot

Jennifer Lawrence did not trip — in case you were wondering — at this awards show upon accepting her award for ‘Joy.’ Her flawless cut-out Christian Dior gown and stunning statement necklace had us all seeing red. Natalie Dormer’s unique deep red ensemble was perfect on the petite actress. And Tara Lynne Barr’s layered look showed off her matching red heels.

Seeing Red

The reds, burgundies and wine-colored gowns were all over the carpet of the same name. Emmy Rossum’s strapless stunner was perfection on the actress as Zendaya wore a tiered wine-colored Marchesa. Olivia Wilde received the memo about the color of the evening in her chic Michael Kors gown.

Orange Crush

Guiliana Rancic returned to the red carpet in a cheerful orange cut-out dress by Alex Perry while Amy Adam donned a sequin-accented Versace gown. Vivica A. Fox also chose the bright hue with her one shoulder structured number.

Emerald Green

One of the first winner’s of the night, the adorable Rachel Bloom chose an evergreen while Jada Pinkett Smith flowed in thigh-high slit showstopper. Presenter Jamie Alexander looked effortless in her deep v-neck gown by Genny.
