Eli Manning Talks Filming King's Hawaiian Commercial With Brother Peyton: 'It's Always Fun' (Exclusive)

Eli Manning and Peyton Manning have a Sunday battle in their latest commercial.

With the 2023 NFL season underway, Eli Manning revealed the one thing he has to do on Sundays. The two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback has partnered with King's Hawaiian to show everyone why Slider Sunday is the only way to Sunday, any time of the year. Slider Sunday is a weekly ritual that's all about bringing families and friends together to share good times and irresistible King's Hawaiian sliders, which are the perfect meal when getting together because they are delicious, fun to make and easily customizable, so everyone will be happy. PopCulture.com spoke to Manning about the partnership and the commercial he filmed with his brother Peyton Manning

"It's always fun," Eli Manning told PopCulture. "With Peyton, it's something when you're doing a commercial about a product that you know and you love and it's been a part of your family. And growing up it was all about family time and getting together and hanging out. And some of our fondest moments are just a bunch of kids from the neighborhood coming over, pick up games in the backyard, having sliders, Kings Wine sliders. So I think that was one of our favorite moments. So to get to do some commercials with him, get to improvise a little bit. Sometimes it's the only time we get together. He lives in Denver, I'm in New Jersey. We don't get together in person a whole lot so sometimes the commercial is the best time to do that."

Manning and his family look forward to making a favorite King's Hawaiian recipe every week, and that's the turkey ranch sliders. "It's solid," Manning said. "So I wish I was really good at making it. My wife is the one that's perfected that, but she makes it for me. That's my go-to when we have this Slider Sunday. So she's got her secret recipe. It's out there and you can find it I'm sure, but she has her special few touches that I think she's kept secret."

Manning may not be great at making the turkey ranch sliders, but the 42-year-old enjoys what King's Hawaiian and Slider Sundays have to offer."Whether it's just backyard barbecuing or just you and your family, just closing down a hectic weekend and having some Kings of Wine sliders to enjoy, have some fun," Manning explained. "You can customize them however you want, whether it's Sloppy Joe's, burgers, turkey, you could throw anything on them, whatever makes kids happy, adults, everybody. So it's been a great tradition and something our family's been enjoying for a long time."
