‘Ink Master’ Legend Returns for ‘Shop Wars’ New Episode

The ninth season of Ink Master has introduced a slew of new twists, but the latest episode is bringing the biggest shock of them all.

Each episode of Shop Wars has seen tattooing duos from all over the country compete, while bringing a team of Ink Master veterans into the fold each week. The preview for this week’s episode has teased that a “legend” is returning.

Judging by the clues, it’s safe to say that the legend being mentioned here is Tommy Helm.

Fans of Ink Master will instantly recognize Helm’s name. He was the runner-up in the very fist season of the reality series, and he was an incredibly strong competitor throughout. After the loss, he was brought back by Spike to become one of the three stars of the cover-up tattoo series, Tattoo Nightmares.

The preview that Ink Master released on Twitter doesn’t specify which legend is returning, but the title credits give it away. Only two veterans shown in the opening haven’t returned yet, and Tommy has clearly earned the status of legendary in the world of Ink Master.

Helm owns Empire State Studio and is sure to set fear into the hearts of the other tattoo shops in the competition.

The new episode of Ink Master: Shop Wars airs on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. on Spike.
