A snapchat story recently uploaded to Imgur shows how one woman documented the day she bid farewell to her dying dog, Hannah, in a heartbreaking series of photos.

“For about two months Hannah has been having seizures,” the woman wrote. “They were small and nothing to worry about, but they gradually got worse.” The medication Hannah was taking for her kidneys, elbows, and hips was making the seizures become worse. However, without the medication she was unable to walk, and had fallen down the stairs several times.
Because it was unbearable for her to watch, the woman decided to put an end to her dog’s suffering. But before she said her final goodbye to Hannah, the owner decided to treat her dog to one last day full of fun.
In the first few snapchats of the story, the owner described how Hannah had been suffering. The photos then show the family taking Hannah to get in one last bath and aroma therapy session to make Hannah relax, and for her to “smell amazing too.” The owner then took Hannah for one final delicious meal at McDonald’s, went to the park to play with some other dogs, and then painted her nails.
The snapchats begin to become increasingly more devastating as the woman shared a picture with the dog and two kids alongside the caption, “Family goodbyes.” Then the final two pictures of the series of snapchats show the owner taking Hannah to the vet, and then a heartbreaking photo of one final hug with the dog.
